Article 01Our approach
Most websites set cookies, then display a banner asking permission to do so. We took the opposite route: set nothing, and therefore have nothing to ask.
This choice costs us something — we do not know how many people visit this site, nor which pages they read. We accept that.
A firm whose profession is establishing what is verifiable cannot declare one thing and do another on its own website.
Article 02What we store on your device
One thing only, and only if you initiate it.
| Key | Nature | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
| lang | Local storage (not a cookie) | Remember your language choice when you use the FR/EN button, so as not to ask again on every page | Until you clear it |
This entry is written only if you click the language button. It contains two characters — fr or en. It permits no identification, is transmitted to no one, and never leaves your browser.
It falls within functionality expressly requested by the user, and therefore requires no prior consent.

Our host retains technical logs — IP address, timestamp, request type — for security and operational reasons. These logs are not used for analytical purposes and involve no storage on your device.
Article 04No resource loaded from a third party
Everything this page loads — text, stylesheets, images and typefaces — comes from our single domain saime3i.com. No request is made to an external service; your IP address is therefore transmitted to no third party.
The typefaces, previously loaded from Google Fonts, are now hosted on our own domain. The dependency disclosed in an earlier version of this page has been removed.
Article 05Verify it yourself
We ask you not to take our word for it. Verification takes thirty seconds.

Local storage: you will see the lang entry, and it alone, if you have used the language button
You can run the same check on any website. Many will surprise you.
Article 06Clearing what is stored
You may delete the language entry at any time. No request to us is needed, and nothing will be lost: the site will simply revert to your browser’s language.

- Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
- Edge — Settings, then Privacy, search and services, then Clear browsing data
Your browser’s private browsing mode clears this entry automatically when the window is closed.
Article 07Should this ever change
Should we one day employ an audience measurement tool, or any other device storing information on your device, this page would be updated beforehand and a consent mechanism put in place prior to any such storage.
We undertake never to declare on this page a state of affairs that does not match that of the website.
